Attention Humanitarian

In this Emergency Assistance project for Venezuelan migrants, asylum seekers and vulnerable Colombians, Mercy Corps will help 7,000 Venezuelan and Colombian people in the departments of Cesar and La Guajira to meet their immediate needs through cash assistance so they can access to shelters, water, sanitation and health services. Many beneficiaries will also receive food voucher assistance through the World Food Program (WFP).

Mercy Corps assessments show that most beneficiaries know, in these types of emergencies, which basic needs they must pay to live healthy lives, but given the circumstances, they lack the financial ability to meet these needs. This problem is particularly serious when arriving in Colombia, migrating from Venezuela.
